As promised here are a couple photos and the low down from Friday nights birthday party for Matty!
To embrace our new lifestyle and it was Matt’s birthday, we celebrated by having a “Trailer Trash Birthday Bash”. Since Matt and I live full time in what several people call our “motorhome” and there are constant jokes about us living in the “trailer” it was fitting.
To perfectly complete our look for the night I had purchased some Crayola markers so that we could give ourselves temporary tattoo’s. I started out with a heart and the name “Earl” in it. Earl had been crossed out and “DVD” was written below that. I gave Matt a band of barbed wire and he gave our friend Cody a unicorn on her leg. Then at each of our stops we were branded with a new tattoo.
The night began at the Pacific Coast Trailer Park (our buddies Sean & Greg’s house) where we played Rock Band and hung out for about an hour while everyone arrived. At 9pm the white Hummer limo pulled up. I set out the snacks for the trip (Easy Cheese with Chicken in a biscuit crackers, Snowballs, Twinkies, donuts and apple pies etc…) and several 40’s of King Cobra.
We all piled in and were off to our fist stop: Nunu’s in Hillcrest. This is one of Matt’s favorite bars and it also happens to be a sorta trashy dive bar. The perfect first stop! We all bellied up to the bar and all eyes were on us. We decided before we left that when people asked about our strange outfits, we would all act dumb. We would reply that it was just a Friday night out for us. Matt marked each of us with 2 big orange N’s on our forearms.
After Nunu’s we hopped over to Star Bar downtown where they happened to be playing some classic rock. Naturally we formed a redneck dance circle and took turns gettin our trashy groove on! The tattoo here was obviously a giant red star.
From there we ventured into Ocean Beach to Pac Shores. The Pac Shores tat was the blue “PS” that can be seen on the shoulder in the photo’s above. There is NO DANCING at Pac Shores, and since we had been passing the 40’s around the limo, we had to be reminded several times of this rule.
Our fourth and final stop was Pacer’s Strip Club. This was not our trashiest stop –the girls were lovely, cute and wonderful dancers, the management was nice and well dressed. BUT you throw our mangy, tatt’d, drunk, obnoxious group into the strip club after midnight and the whole place falls down a few notches. We were obnoxious too!! Not overly, where we were getting kicked out, but everyone really played their role well! In addition to the lap dances, and some cocktails, everyone was given a tramp-stamp of a black and purple “P”.
Several hours, several drinks, several tattoo’s, and a pack of cig’s later (not one smoker in the group but man do those things break easily) we found ourselves purged from the limo and back at the PCTP where we started. The night had been a HUGE success! Matt and everyone had a blast! It was the PERFECT way to celebrate Matt’s birthday!
OH, I forgot to mention that I topped off our grey water tank while scrubbing the tattoo’s off of me the next morning so Matt had to walk around ALL day with big, colorful, and by that time very smudged ink. SO FUNNY!! (sorry Love!)
Love you Huno! Happy Birthday!!
